"Celebrating 26 years of professional landscaping"
We were requested by a client to remediate interior slabbing works at the King Richard III centre in Leicester after the original contractors were unable to carry out the required repairs following cracks appearing in the slabs. The order for works was received the day before Christmas eve with the works requested to start on the first day back after the new year/Christmas break as the centre was to shut down for a 2 week period to complete snagging ( no pressure there then !!!) . We were able to source the variety of stone used and managed to have it cut to the individual sizes that were required.
Our working supervisor and a team of hard landscaping operatives managed to remove the old slabs leaving the concrete floor underneath unscathed, fit an expansion joint to solve the cracking problem and then individually size and bespoke fit each slab to suit whilst working to the fine tolerances which the concrete floor allowed. We also strengthened and refitted the stones in the recessed manhole cover which provides access to the excavation site itself.
The joints were all pointed and our skilled workers were even able to match the colour of the original grouting to leave an almost indistinguishable finish in time for the centre to re-open as scheduled.
From start to finish the dedication and skills of our operatives made this high profile job possible to complete within the short time frame given
